Cone Memorial Park includes extensive grounds as well as the Flat Top Manor, a summer retreat built at the turn of the 20th century by Moses Cone, who was a textile magnate, and his wife Bertha. The Cone family donated the estate to the National Park Service in 1949. Driving time from the hotel is 54 minutes.
