Starry Sky Experience | Bare Dark Sky Observatory

Spend 2 hours stargazing at the Bare Dark Sky Observatory, located just 20 minutes from the hotel at the Earth to Sky Park. Take a tour of the night sky with our astronomy experts and stargaze through the largest public telescope in North Carolina!

Private rentals are available for a $400 (plus a one-night hotel reservation) rate. These rentals are for groups with a maximum of 18 people and are made to fit your schedule! First step is to book your rental by emailing observatory@mayland.edu. Then book your room at the Blue Ridge Boutique Hotel to complete the experience.

Join us for a community viewing night on Fridays or Saturdays! Adult tickets are $20 and child tickets (12 and under) are $5. Tickets for each community viewing night are limited, so please call the front desk for availability.
